Seamless closed-cell foam for refrigerated trucks, dry-freight boxes, and commercial fish holds — the specialty work most insulation companies won't touch.
A truck body or fish hold is a metal or fiberglass shell that flexes, vibrates, sweats, and gets washed down — an environment that destroys batt insulation and delaminates glued board. Closed-cell spray foam solves every one of those problems at once: it bonds seamlessly to the shell with no fasteners or gaps, cannot absorb water, adds structural stiffness to the panels it coats, and delivers R-6 to R-7 per inch so cargo boxes keep their interior volume.
There are no seams, which means no thermal bridges and nowhere for condensation, ice, or bacteria to collect — the reason sprayed foam is the standard for refrigerated transport and commercial fishing vessels.
Reefer boxes lose performance as original insulation ages, waterlogs, and pulls away from the walls — the compressor runs longer and the fuel bill climbs. Re-foaming the box restores the thermal envelope: old material out, surfaces prepped, and closed-cell foam sprayed to spec thickness across walls, ceiling, and doors.
Dry-freight boxes, work van conversions, and specialty vehicles get the same treatment, keeping cargo temperature-stable without stealing interior space.
A fish hold has one job: hold temperature with the ice you loaded. Closed-cell foam's zero water absorption is what makes it the only foam appropriate below deck — open-cell or batt material becomes a waterlogged sponge on the first trip. Sprayed foam conforms to the hull's compound curves, seals against bulkheads, and can be coated for a washable, food-safe surface.

Yes. Degraded or waterlogged insulation is removed, surfaces are prepped, and closed-cell foam is sprayed to spec thickness. The box regains its original thermal performance, and the foam adds stiffness to the panels.
Open-cell foam absorbs water. In a marine environment it becomes a heavy, waterlogged sponge that loses its insulating value. Closed-cell foam is fully moisture-impermeable — it's the only spray foam suitable below deck.
It depends on the duty cycle — refrigerated versus frozen, day trips versus multi-day holds. At R-6 to R-7 per inch, most applications land between 2 and 4 inches. A free estimate covers the right spec for your use.
Estimates can be done at the dock or the yard. Where the work happens depends on access to the hold and ventilation requirements — that gets settled during the free estimate.
